Synopsis
Ahead of his retirement, policeman Franco Amore is writing his farewell speech. His wife Viviana and their friends are preparing a surprise party for the policeman’s imminent retirement. But the night before will prove to be the longest and most difficult of his entire professional life. Suddenly, she receives a call that changes everything. Viviana’s cousin from Calabria leaves the party and goes away.
Franco, who has just returned home, is called back to duty by his superior, Dr. Sarno. He then goes to the eastern ring road, where something serious has happened. He discovers that there has been a shootout, in which his colleague and friend Dino has been killed. Two Chinese nationals and two carabinieri also lost their lives in the clash. After the opening scene, the narrative returns to ten days earlier and explains the background that changed Franco Amore’s life just as he was about to retire.
